Estil "Leon" Ford, age 89 of Pekin, IN passed away on August 14, 2026 at his daughters home surrounded by family. Leon was born April 28, 1937, to Leslie B. (L.B.) and Hazel Marie (Bennett) Ford, near La Grange, Kentucky.

Leon has been farming since 1947 when his family moved from La Grange, Kentucky to a farm south of Salem. Leon was a 1956 graduate of Salem High School. He was a member of Canton Christian Church. He was proud to be a farmer his whole life.On August 24, 1957, Leon married the love of his life, Maxine Mae Wingfield, until her death August 3, 2008. Later he married Beverly Goodson, September 9, 2009, until her death July 4, 2014.

Survived by: Daughter Teresa (David) Pittman from Pekin, IN and 4 granddaughters, Jennifer Lee (Jeremy Helm) from Monette, AR, Becky Simpson and Amber Hurst (Darren) from Pekin, and Renee Morphis (Todd) from Palmyra, IN. Seven great grandchildren, Brandon Lee (Shelby), Megan Lee, Hayley Hurst and Archer Hurst from Pekin, IN and John Simpson, Katie Morphis and Ian Morphis from Palmyra, IN., great great grandchildren Dolly Lee and Benton Lee from Pekin, IN, and dearest friend, Dorothy Gorman.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Glen Ford and great grandsons Jake and Luke Simpson.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 4:00P.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 1:00P.M until the time of service. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
