Lester H. Thompson age 88 of Salem passed away Sunday, March 4 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Thompson was born May 11, 1923 in Manchester, Kentucky the son of Marion and Arenia Morgan Thompson. He was a retired construction worker. He was founder of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Manchester, Kentucky and a Full Gospel Pentecostal Church Preacher.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Ethal Mae Winchester Thompson, a brother: Steve Thompson, five sisters: Sarah Roark, Rose and Becky Thompson, Vernia Robinson, Bertha Sams, Virgie Adams and Vida Sweizer and his parents. He is survived by a daughter: Karen Sue Lucas-Horn (Johnny) of Salem, a brother: Irvin Thompson of Manchester, Kentucky, 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
