Linda Carol Zink, age 78, of Salem, Indiana passed away on February 25, 2026 in Wauchula, Florida. Born January 16, 1948 in Salem, Indiana, she was the daughter of Robert and Stella Zink.
After graduating from Salem High School, Linda discovered she had been given "the gift of gab". She had a natural gift for connecting with people, remembering names, listening carefully, and making everyone feel valued. She used all of these skills in her lustrous career with the LM Berry company. "The yellow pages, for those that remember phone books." While living and working in Jackson, MS, Knoxville, TN, Taylorsville and Louisville, KY she became one of the top sales persons of all time, receiving countless awards and recognition. Linda never met a stranger and could talk to anyone. Her success was never just about closing a sale; it was about building relationships and earning trust. Colleagues and customers alike admired her unwavering work ethic.
After retiring, she and husband David, enjoyed the snow bird life for several years, traveling around the country, staying warm in the winter and cool in the summer, frequently stopping in to visit family and friends and making new friends along the way. They especially enjoyed their time in the SKP parks in Yuma, AZ, Sutherlin, OR, and Linda's most recent SKP home in Wauchula, FL.
Linda also enjoyed volunteering and had a multitude of hobbies. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and collecting treasures and antiques from all around.
Linda is survived by her stepdaughter, Heidi Bowie (Carl), and stepson, Kurt Arndorfer; her grandchildren, Haley Schlichtman and Hannah Arndorfer; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, and her beloved pet, Tootsie. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Arndorfer, her parents, Robert and Stella Zink; her brothers, Boyd and Eugene Zink; and her sisters, Barbara Bryant, Judy Stockdale, and Margie McDonald.
A memorial will be held on April 10th, 12:00-2:00 pm at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem Indiana.
Though she is gone from our sight, her generosity, warmth, and vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
