Mr. Lloyd B. Cress age 92 of Salem passed away Thursday, March 7 at Meadow View Health Care and Rehab.
Mr. Cress was born March 10, 1920 in Burning Springs, Kentucky the son of Elisha and Frances Muncy Cress. He was a retired employee of Philco/Ford. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of Salem Senior Citizens and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Nayoma Murrell Cress in 2004, his parents, nine brothers: Abner "Dickie", Hugh, Bill, Herbert, Marion, Herman, Larkin, Paul and Roy Cress and two sisters: Ora Russell and Opal Stewart.
He is survived by two sons: Jerry Cress of Connersville and James Cress of Salem, two brothers: Warren and Robert Cress both of Salem, a sister: Margaret Morrow of Salem, one granddaughter: Jamie and one great-grandchild: Chloe.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8PM and Monday from 9AM-time of service.
