Margaret A. Hawes

Mrs. Margaret A. Hawes, age 76, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 14 at her home.

Mrs. Hawes was born November 13, 1947, in Salem the daughter of Orville and Edith Melton Blevins. She was a class of 1966 New Albany High School Graduate. She graduated from Ivy Tech School of Nursing in 1971 with her LPN license. She was a member of Southern Hills Church.

She is survived by a son: John Christopher Shell (Angela) of Salem, two sisters: Betty Potts and Robin Deaton (Richard) both of Salem, eight grandchildren: John Shell, Jacob Shell, James Shell, Ava Shell, Jackson Shell, Ryan Shell, Megan Young, and Isaiah Shell and six great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Hawes, a son: Gregory Lee Shell, five brothers: Tony Blevins, Orville Belvins Jr., Ricky Blevins, Mike Blevins, and Robert Blevins, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Monday at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 10AM-until time of service.
