Mr. Marvin Lee Mitchell of Salem passed away Wednesday, August 24 at 3:15PM at his home.
Mr. Mitchell was born November 30, 1934 in Little York, Indiana the son of Warner and O'Leva Edna Tatlock Mitchell. He was a self employeed roofer and a member of Mt. Hebron Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara Ruth Cravens Mitchell. They were married July 18, 1954. He is also survived by four sons: Lonnie (Donna) Mitchell, Marvin (Sue) Mitchell Jr., John (LaDonna) Mitchell and Allen (Melissa) Mitchell all of Salem, three daughters: Martha (Preston) Smedley, Ella Mae (Hiram) Cornett and Peggy Cozart all of Salem, a sister: Mabel Bradford of Greenwood, Indiana, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Max and Loren Mitchell, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00PM at Mt. Hebron Church of Christ with Rodney Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 8-10AM at Weathers Funeral and Saturday from Noon-time of service at the funeral home.
