Mrs. Melva Grace Davis age 79 of Salem passed away Tuesday, June 11 at 10:40AM at St. Vincent Hospital of Salem.
Mrs. Davis was born November 14, 1933 in Clark County, Indiana the daughter of David and Bertha Dean Bartle. She was a retired cook for West Washington School Corporation and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Robert Rex Davis of Salem, three sons: Steven Davis (Barb), Mark Davis (Linda) and Eric Davis (Jana) all of Salem, four daughters: Kathy Wilson (John) of Campbellsburg, Carol Davis of Corydon, Brenda Boling (Chris) of Salem and Lori Martin (Steven) of Clarksville, a brother: Robert Bartle of Indianapolis, a sister-in-law: Ann Bartle of Scottsburg, 14 grandchildren nad 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Farrell, Elvin, Ray and Orris Bartle and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service.
