Melvin E Batchelor

Mr. Melvin E. Batchelor, age 63, of Salem, passed away Monday, August 3 at Salem Crossing.

Mr. Batchelor was born January 21, 1957 in Washington County, Indiana the son of John E. and Della Jane Brown Batchelor.  He was a former Frozen Food and Dairy Manager for IGA and employee of Paoli Inc.  He was a member of Campbellsburg First Baptist Church.

Melvin is survived by his children:  Amanda Reynolds (Adam) of Campbellsburg and Chris Batchelor (Melissa) of Corydon, his brother:  Mike Batchelor of Campbellsburg and 4 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow and a graveside service will be held at Cavetown Cemetery at a later time.
