Mr. Michael “Mike” Wayne Albin, age 71, of Salem, passed away Sunday, July 21 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital. 

Mr. Albin was born June 6, 1953, in Evansville, the son of James Albin and Edna Peck Nix. He was a 1971 graduate of Dale High School. He worked in coal mines and after that, then at GKN, and later retired from Jeans Extrusions. 

He is survived by his wife: Jeanne Kaiser Albin, they were married January 14, 1984. He is also survived by his mother: Edna Albin of Newburgh, a son: Shawn Albin (Sara) of Chesapeake, VA, three daughters: Casey Ellis (Chris) of Noblesville, Jayme Albin (Joshua Cadle) of Bedford, and Jessica Albin (Zack Richards) of Salem, two brothers: Steve Albin (Linda) of Grandview, IN, and Larry Albin (Colleen) of Lamar, IN, two sisters: Brenda Martin of Newburg, IN, and Loretta Sloan of Evansville, 6 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild on the way. 

Mike is preceded in death by a brother: Jimmy Albin, his step-father: Bob Nix, and his father: James Albin. 

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery in Orleans. Visitation will be Friday from 10AM-until time of service.
