Nancy S (Gray) Sowder

Mrs. Nancy S. Sowder age 75 of Salem passed away Tuesday, December 6 at Baptist Health Floyd.
Mrs. Sowder was born January 21, 1943 in London, Kentucky the daughter of Orland and Louisa Bundy Gray. She was a graduate of Vincennes University and a retired RN for Washington County Memorial Hospital.
Nancy is survived by her husband: Albert Lee Sowder. They were married December 18, 1959. She is also survived by a son: Terry Sowder (Denise) of Salem, a daughter: Donna Law (Steve) of Milltown, Indiana, a brother: Estille Gray (Pat) of London, Kentucky, two sisters: Laura Sowder of Salem and Lillie Smith of London, Kentucky, three grandchildren: Kyle Sorrels, Kathryn McCreary and Nicholas Sowder, and four great-grandchildren: Jacob McCreary, Sophia McCreary, Jackson McCreary and Isabelle Sorrels. She was preceded in death by four brothers: George Bundy, Robert “Hob” Gray, Fred Gray and Larry Gray, two sisters: Phyllis Hampton and Mary Gray and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Winslow Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation.
