Mrs. Newlonna M. Carter age 39 of Jeffersonville, passed away Tuesday, August 21 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mrs. Carter was born March 23, 1979 in Salem the daughter of Nick Gilstrap and Joyce Cornett.  She was a restaurant owner.

Newlonna is survived by her husband: Benny Carter of Jeffersonville.  They were married June 4, 2006.  She is also survived by one daughter:  Stevee Israel of Jeffersonville, two sons:  Shawnathon Israel of Jeffersonville, and Jayson James of Jeffersonville, her mother:  Joyce Cornett of Salem, five brothers:  Jon Gilstrap of Salem, Darrell Fultz of Salem, Scott Fultz of Salem, Richard Fultz of Colorado, Matt Stucker of Bedford, a half- brother: Michael Gilstrap of Florida and a half- sister:  April Gilstrap of Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her father:  Nick Gilstrap and a step-brother:  Stacey Gilstrap.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00PM at New Beginnings Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Huffaker officiating.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 10AM-time of service at the church.
