Mr. Norman L. Chanley age 79 of Campbellsburg passed away Saturday, January 12 at 4:20AM at his home.
Mr. Chanley was born June 5, 1933 in Crawford County, Indiana the son of Charles and Maudie Rhodes Chanley. He was a retired employee of Helsel's Inc. and owner of Norm's Bait Shop.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years: Betty McPike Chanley, four sons: Gary Chanley Sr. (Jeanann) of Salem, Norman Chanley Jr. (Brenda) of Phillipsburg, Kansas, Joshua Norman Chanley (Asia) of Campbellsburg, and Timothy White (Sandy) of Salem, three daughters: Norma Jean Chanley (Brian Durham) of Campbellsburg, Debra Ann Billings of Sycamore, Ohio and Susan Driver (Shane) of Blakely, Georgia, a brother: Loren Chanley of Corpus Christi, Texas, a sister: Gladys Jones of Corydon, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter: Louise Chanley, five brothers: Delbert, Charles, Herman, Carl and Jesse Chanley, and four sisters: Nellie Bills, Mary Summers, Imogene Sturgeon and Mona Cox.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society or a local Relay for Life team.
