Novella D (Montgomery) Sparks

Mrs. Novella D. Montgomery Sparks age 74 of Pekin passed away Sunday, January 22 at St. Vincent Hospital of Salem.
Mrs. Sparks was born March 29, 1942 in Columbia, Kentucky the daughter of Rollin Hurt Montgomery and Marie Dile Montgomery. She was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church. She was a Homemaker, Farmer and a Factory Laborer. She enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, and traveling. She loved music, singing, yodeling and playing harmonica. She was involved in all of her kids and grandkids activities.
Novella was preceded in death by her husband: Montford Maylon Sparks in 1992, a son: Monty Sparks, a daughter: Marie Michele Sparks, a brother: Rollin Montgomery Jr., a sister: Clara Paralee Montgomery, two granddaughters: Amy Harris and Lindsey Kannapel and her parents.
She is survived by two sons: Richard Sparks (Nicki) of Simpsonville, Kentucky and Joshua Sparks of Borden, a daughter: Ramona Harris of Pekin, three brothers: Joel C. Montgomery of Brownsville, Kentucky, Ronald Gale Montgomery of Brooks, Kentucky and David Montgomery of Oklahoma, three sisters: Mary Vermalene Bishop of Jeffersonville, Betty Dee Lowder of Vermilion, Ohio and Debbie Robinson of Kentucky, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 6:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-6PM.
