Olive Marie (Thompson) Miller

Mrs. Olive Marie Miller, age 96, of Salem passed away Thursday, November 22 at Covered Bridge in Seymour, Indiana.

Olive was born July 5, 1922 in Harrison County, Indiana the daughter of Albert Thompson and Bonnie Ripperdan Thompson.  She was a member of Salem (High Street) Church of Christ.  Her hobbies were quilting and tending to her many flowers.

On February 25, 1939, Olive married Elden Miller, he preceded her in death on May 9, 1991.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers:  Leo, Ted and Carl Thompson and two sisters:  Gladys Early and Ruby Houghland, daughter-in-law:  Brenda Miller, son-in-law:  Jack McClure and three grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter:  Glenda McClure of North Vernon, three sons:  Jerry Miller (Darlene) of Salem, Ray Miller (Nancy) of Salem, and Barry Miller of Salem, a sister:  Beatrice Andrick of Southport, a brother:  Dick Thompson of Salem, 12 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 10AM-time of service.
