Pamela J. Kindrick, age 68, of Salem, passed away Thursday, August 21, at Norton Hospice Inpatient Unit in Louisville.
Pamela was born December 16, 1956, in Albany, Georgia, the daughter of Howard Lee and Ruthie Jane Brickey Wingfield. Her family moved to Salem when she was a teenager and she spent the remainder of life here. Pamela spent her entire working career working with children in some capacity, most recently as a special ed teacher's aide at Bradie Shrum Elementary School.
She loved spending time with her family, especially family get togethers at Christmas. She loved reading and traveling to beaches and other special places with her grandchildren.
Pamela is survived by her children: Joshua Kindrick of Louisville, Kentucky and Lindsey Smith (Travis) of Pekin, Indiana, a brother: Bryon Wingfield of Niceville,Florida and sister: Debbie Vergason of Salem. She was beloved Nana to seven grandchildren: Wyatt, Briana, Hayley, Madison, Alyssa, Vanessa, and Sawyer.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, August 25 at Weathers Funeral Home from 5-7PM. In following with Pamela's religious preferences, her children ask that, while prayers are welcome, they be said in silence.
