Richard Colglazier

February 10, 1932 — November 13, 2017

Mr. Richard Colglazier age 85 of Greenwood, formerly of Salem, passed away Monday, November 13 in Greenwood.

Mr. Colglazier was born February 10, 1932 in Salem the son of Gayle and Agnes Nuckles Colglazier.  He was a long- term employee for Imperial Clevite in Salem and retired from Plastene Corporation in Missouri where he was personnel manager.  He was a member of Southport Christian Church, Salem Masonic Lodge #21, past president of Washington County Chamber of Commerce, past president of Salem Park and Recreation, past president of Salem Lions Club and served for 12 years as a member of the Salem City Council.  Richard also served in the US Navy during the Korean War.

Richard loved spending time with his family, playing cards and watching sports especially IU basketball and the Indianapolis Colts.  In his younger days he could often be found on the weekends playing tennis.  He was a connoisseur of red wines and loved to go to local wineries with friends and family.  He was a patriot who loved his country and was proud to be a veteran and a father of a veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife:  Elsie Colglazier and his parents.

He is survived by two sons:  Scott Colglazier and John Colglazier, a daughter:  Nancy Wilder, three step-daughters:  Teresa Knight, Jeanette Brenningmeyer and Paula Williams, a step-son:  Jeff Knight, a sister:  Jane Ingram, 5 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren, one niece and 2 nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Friday from 11AM-time of service at the funeral home.
