Robert Earl Elrod

Mr. Robert Earl Elrod age 87 of Henryville passed away Tuesday, February 5 at his home.

Mr. Elrod was born November 12, 1931 in Salem, Indiana the son of Albert and Nora Cartwright Elrod. He was a member of Blue River Baptist Church,  and the Salem Masonic Lodge, #21.   He retired after 20 years of service from the United States Air Force.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife: Virginia Volk Elrod, an infant son: Daryl Elrod, an infant daughter: Melissa Elrod, a sister: Martha Jean Trueblood, and his parents.

He is survived by his wife: Paulette Deuser Elrod, step sons: Doug Johnson (Judy) of Henryville, Kirk Johnson (Teri) Of Floyds Knobs, and Gayle Combs of Ramsey, a step-daughter: Rhea Combs of Georgetown, and two brothers: Joe Elrod (JoAnne) of Salem, and Jerry Elrod (Hazel) of Sellersburg.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 2:00P.M. at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow Blue River Baptist Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10AM- until time of service at the funeral home.
