Mr. Robert L. Persinger age 96 of Salem passed away Thursday, July 20 at Meadow View Health Care and Rehab.
Mr. Persinger was born September 9, 1920 in Salem the son of Lewis and Anna Flynn Persinger. He was the owner and operator of Persinger Lawn and Garden. He was a member of Salem Assembly of God. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of VFW.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife: Juanita Roberts Persinger on June 29, 2008. He was also preceded in death by five sisters: Zella Cauble, Myrtle Baynes, Gertrude Barrett, Hallie Fultz and Margaret Alberdine and his parents.
He is survived by two sons: Robert Lynn Persinger and Joseph M. Persinger both of Salem, 10 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Salem Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM at Salem Assembly of God and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service at the church.
