Robert E. Walls

Mr. Robert E. Walls Sr., age 68, of Salem, passed away Monday, August 4 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

Mr. Walls was born March 14, 1957, in Indianapolis, the son of Lawrence "Doc" Stroud and Mary Maxine Rickenbaugh Stroud. He was a retired truck driver. He was an Army veteran, a member of Double Y Saddle Club and Enon Baptist Church.

Mr. Walls is survived by his wife: Janese Riggs Walls, four sons: Robert E. Walls Jr. of Fort Wayne, Anthony David Walls of Gilbert, Arizona, Joshua Walls (Holly) of Bedford, Indiana and Robert White (Ashley) of Mitchell, three daughters: Jessica Nicole Walls of Gilbert, Arizona, Crystal Marie Rosenbaum (Joey) of Sellersburg and Julie Ann Dodds (Jarin) of Sellersburg, two brothers: Kevin Stroud (Brenda) of Orleans, and Dale Stroud (Victoria) of Orangeville, a sister: Carolyn Gilley (William Dearborn) of Salem, and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: David Stroud, a sister-in-law: Beth Stroud and a grandchild: Hayley Lawson.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 7 at 6PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-6PM.
