Obituary

Roy Dale Alexander, age 67 of Salem, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026 at his home.

Mr. Alexander was born March 15, 1959 in Salem, the son of Roger Alexander and Delores Faye Tye. Mr. Alexander enjoyed spending time with friends and taking his side by side out riding and going on benefit rides. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 41 of Salem. He enjoyed fishing and being with his kids and grandkids. He always had a love for horse riding and camping. Mr. Alexander would put everything on hold to go help anyone who needed it.

Mr. Alexander is survived by his two sons, Kenneth Alexander (Jeannie) and Roger Alexander (Joanna), his grandchildren, Colten Alexander, Bryar, Landon, Blake, Maylyn, Dustin, Megan and JT Huffman. He is also survived by his step siblings, Clarence Tye (Marsha), Wendell Tye, Kathy Royalty (Don) and Dorothy Jean Mitchell (Steve). He is also survived by his brother in law, Billy Morris and his step children, Darlene Noble, Vernon Noble (Pam) and David Noble. 

Mr. Alexander is preceded in death by his fiance, Wanda Noble. He is also preceded by his parents, Roger Alexander and Delores Faye Tye (Kenneth), his brothers, Robert and Roger Alexander and his sisters, Pamela Morris, Linda Roll (Carl) and Brenda L. Morris (Dean).

Services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 12:00P.M at Weathers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12 from 3P.M-7P.M and on Thursday from 10A.M until the time of service. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Franklin Cemetery.
