Mrs. Shannon Wells, age 55, of Salem, passed away Thursday, May 27 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Shannon was born in Salem on November 26, 1965. She was raised in the First Christian Church of Borden and graduated from Borden High School. She went on to graduate from IU Bloomington, where she obtained multiple degrees, including her master’s in teaching
Shannon had many passions in life, which including Christ, her family (especially her sons), her 3rd grade teaching career, sunsets, travel and playing cards, specifically Spades. She adored her time with her grand nieces and nephews as well.
She is survived by her father: William Alexander (Michelle), mother: Alvnell Leach (Gary), her husband of 31 years: David A. Wells, sons: Mark Hibbs (Katie Wilson), David A. Wells II (Meghan Falkenberg), and Daniel Wells. She is also survived by three sisters: Michelle Yount (Roger), Sandy Shawler (Tom), and Jackie Roberts, and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Shannon was preceded in death by her daughter: Sara Renee Wells.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8PM and Wednesday from 9AM-time of service. A Celebration of Life service will follow at Cornerstone Hall, 1500 E. RC Morris Drive Salem, IN 47167.
