Shirley Satterfield

Shirley Satterfield left this earthly dwelling, January 12, 2026 to be with her Lord and Savior.

Shirley was born September 27, 1937 to Blossie and Mona (Allison) Miller in Reedyville, Kentucky. She married her high school sweetheart, Dallas Satterfield. They were married 69 years. Shirley’s faith was strong, she was a member of Kansas Church of Christ where she attended faithfully till her health failed. She taught Sunday School and VBS. She organized gatherings in her home for children and teens. Her favorite bible verse was Phillippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Her favorite song was "Will There Be Any Stars In My Crown" She was owner of Pat-A-Cake Corner where she enjoyed baking cakes and decorating them. She was a caregiver. Her and Dallas cared for their parents in their home when their parents could no longer live alone. Dallas and Shirley's door was opened to family, friends and strangers.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Blossie and Mona Miller, two brothers, John Miller and Donald Miller, one grandson, Jeremy Rippey, one great granddaughter, Dharma Rippey, one great grandson, Axle Cedeno.

Shirley is survived by her husband Dallas, one daughter, Deborah (Robert) Rippey, sons: Daniel (Darla) Satterfield, David Satterfield, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and her special friend, Bonnie Sons, who helped care for Shirley.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Kansas Church of Christ at 11:00a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, from 6:00-8:00p.m and Thursday morning from 9:00a.m until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Kansas Cemetery.
