The Life of Suzanne Moore Bunal
Suzanne was born in Salem, Indiana on January 31st, 1952, to Howard and Clara Ann (Purkhiser) Moore. She went to be with her Lord and Savior and sing in his choir on November 10, 2025.
Suzanne married Michael Bunal on December 14, 1991. They enjoyed 34 years of friendship, traveled, and built their log home with their own hands in the Appalachian Mountains of Dandridge, Tennessee.
Suzanne and Mike raised three children together: Beth (Steven) Leonhardt of Crawfordsville, IN., Jeremy David (Emily) Finch of Lafayette, IN., and Lindsay (Blake) Mitchum of Auburn, AL.
Suzanne and Mike share seven grandchildren: Braiden (Janna) Slavens of Noblesville, IN, Cole (Nikole) Slavens of Newport, TN, Riley (Hannah) Slavens of Indianapolis, IN., Noah Leonhart and Emma Leonhardt of Crawfordsville, IN. River Finch of Lafayette, IN and Harper Mitchum of Auburn, AL. They have been blessed with four great grandchildren: Elanor, Finch and Liam of Noblesville, IN and Eliana Ruth of Newport, TN. To all of them she was lovingly referred to as “Outside Nana” because of her love for the outdoors.
Suzanne is survived by her brothers, Dale (Pam) Moore of Salem, IN., and Benny (Kathy) Moore of Salem, IN., and loved nieces and nephews.
Suzanne had a love of learning and completed a master’s degree from Purdue University in 1975. She was a teacher for several years in Indiana before she embarked on the journey of owning her own State Farm franchise. After several years State Farm noticed her talent and she went to work for State Farm Corporate-Learning and Development where she traveled and taught.
Suzanne lived an adventurous life! She loved her family and friends, baking, singing, nature walks, gardening, fishing, quilting, painting, playing canasta, and making sequenced stockings for all her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem, Indiana on Friday,11/28/25 with visitation from 2-4 pm followed by a service at 4:00 pm.
