Wanda Sue Cruse, age 68 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Mrs. Cruse was born on November 8, 1957 in Corbin, Kentucky, the daughter of Oscar Lee Amburn and June McVay Amburn. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church and a devoted wife and grandmother.

Mrs. Cruse is survived by her son, Roger Alexander (Joanna) of Salem, Grayson Wilson of Salem and her bonus sons, Jeremy Tucker, Brad Tucker (Melissa) and Zach Wilson. She is also survived by her daughter, Kelly Cortez (Brian) of Pekin, her grandchildren: Gunner Pickerill (Kayla), Megan Huffman (J.T) and Dustin Alexander, step grandchildren: Montana Cortez, Austin Cortez, her great grandchildren: Lainey Rae and step great grandchildren: Graylynn Cortez, Delilah Ayers and Haisley Cortez. She is also survived by her special niece, Casey Rose, Julie Davidson and several other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cruse is also survived by her brother, Russell Amburn (Donna) of Salem, and her best friend, Linda Jacobs. 

Mrs. Cruse is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Cruse who passed away October 28, 2025 and her parents.

Per her wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services.
