William Lester Jean

William Lester Jean, age 71, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, January 25 at Meadowview Health and Rehab.

Mr. Jean was born February 5, 1950, in Washington County, Indiana the son of Lester and Sylvia Gaffney Jean. He was a former Marine and City of Salem Police Officer and a former manager of Scottsburg Wal-Mart.

William was preceded in death by his wife:  Nancy Easton Jean in 2011, his parents, and a grandson.

He is survived by a son:  Billy Jean of Salem, two daughters:  Angela Godfrey of Salem and Dana Newberry of Boca Raton, Florida, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

There will be no services.
