William Claude Maness

William Claude Maness, age 80, of Salem, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025 at Salem Crossing.

Mr. Maness was born October 15, 1944 in Lee County, Virginia, the son of Creed Maness and Olga Coomer Maness.

Mr. Maness is survived by his wife, who he married March 7, 1987, Ruth Maness. He is also survived by his children: James Maness of TN, Suzan Maness and Jeannie Maness of TN, and his step sons, Ron Walker Jr. of Salem and Clint (Doug) Walker of English and two step daughters, Shelia Erickson of WI and Rhonda Laylan of Salem. He is also survived by his three brothers, Robert Maness of Georgetown, Reece Maness of Salem, Campbell Maness (Sue) of Salem and David Maness of VA, one sister, Linda Brewer of VA and several grandchildren.

Mr. Maness is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Richard Coomer, Monroe Maness and infant brother, Jimmy Maness, and his sisters: Betty Sidwell and an infant sister, Ruby Maness.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hardinsburg at 11:00a.m.
