Obituary

Mr. Billy Gene Harris age 62, of Campbellsburg, passed away Sunday, January 23 at St. Vincent Salem Hospital.

Mr. Harris was born July 21, 1959, in Pikeville, Kentucky the son of Delmar and Josephine Bolden Harris. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was a former Pikeville Kentucky police officer and coalminer.

He is survived by his wife: Christina Chastain Harris, a daughter: Amanda Harris (JT) of New Albany, three stepsons: Noah Countryman (Ashley) of Salem, Jacob Chastain of Louisville, and Trey Chastain of Indianapolis, a brother: Jimmy Harris (Donna) of Pikeville, KY, three grandchildren: Anna Countryman, Mikah McCowan, Emma McCowan, several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, his mother: Josephine Harris of Pikeville, KY and two dogs: Lilly and Paco.

He is preceded in death by his father: Delmar Harris, a sister: Lisa Conn, and his stepfather:  Robert Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday, January 28 at Weathers Funeral Home. Military services will follow. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-until time of service.
