Brenda Joyce Bennett

Mrs. Brenda Joyce Bennett age 77 of Salem passed away Tuesday, November 19 at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Bennett was born August 13, 1942 in Lee County, Virginia the daughter of Brent and Hattie Ayers Sumpter. She attended New Beginnings Baptist Church. She was an employee of Walmart in Salem.

She is preceded in death by her husband: William “Bill” Bennett. She is survived by a brother: Ronald Sumpter (Vicki) of Richmond, KY, two sisters: Sharon Sumpter of Salem, and Opel Wetzel of Flint, Michigan, several nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen there will be no services.
