Obituary

Mrs. Deanna (Bush) Mosley, passed away from this life Wednesday, April 26 at 10:30AM at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

She was born on April 16, 1938, the sixth child of Cleon Ray Bush Sr. and Vivian Marshall Bush. She was a Baptist by faith and loved God. Accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior in early adulthood. Besides being a lover of God’s word, she was diligent in reading “The Sword of the Lord” a publication that shared her Christian views. She was very outspoken in her political views and was willing to share those thoughts with anyone who cared to listen.

She grew up on the family farm, doing all types of chores required by the farm life. She also helped to care for her younger siblings. She was a was a very hard worker and as an adult acquired a wonderful work ethic admired by many. Deanna was a wonderful homemaker, wife, and mother. She was especially dedicated raising her daughter Rebekah to be a productive and self-sufficient young woman. Her son Steven was diligent in helping his mother in many and various ways throughout her life. She was also a very generous sister and her sisters have a fond memories of being the recipient of lovely clothing bought by Deanna for them.  She was also generous to give to many charities.

She especially loved to flower garden and always maintained a beautiful yard. Her home was her pride and joy and she loved to decorate it both inside and outside. Deanna was a good cook and will always be remembered for making a delicious ham and her own special recipe for her pea salad.

She was very loved and will be sadly missed by her family. She is survived by her son: Steven Guy Mosley, daughter: Rebekah Diane Mosley, brother: Don Bush of Salem, sisters: Irene Corn of Sellersburg, Connie Young of New Albany, Jewell Bruner (Don) of Southport, and Vicki Williams of Greenwood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Jean Wilson, and June Peterson, brothers: Guy Dean, Cleon Ray, Kent Van, and Allen Bush.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 29 at 2:00PM at Martinsburg Cemetery. She will be laid to rest beside her parents. Everyone is welcome to come and remember her life and share fond memories.
