Dorothy J. Brewer, age 74, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, September 4 at her home.

Dorothy was born December 10, 1944 in Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of Earl and Gladys Roberts Johnson.  She was a retired employee of GKN.   She was a member of Salem Senior Citizens and St. Patrick Catholic Church.She enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her many flowers. She also enjoyed traveling, vacations, and family reunions.

She is survived by two sons:  Thomas A. Turner (Sandra) and Darin Brewer both of Salem, a brother:  Earl Wayne Johnson (Carolyn) of Hyden, Kentucky, three sisters:  Florence McKnight (Jack) of Salem, Drucilla Campbell of Walton, Kentucky and Mary Elizabeth Lunceford of Lee County, Kentucky, and two grandchildren:  Thomas and Zackary Turner, nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother:  Bobby Johnson, a sister:  Grace Johnson and her parents: Earl and Gladys Roberts, paternal grandparents:  Claude and Rhoda Johnson, maternal grandparents:  John and Elizabeth Roberts, two nephews:  Brian Lunceford and Jody Johnson and one niece:  Stacy Lunceford.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-time of service.
