Jack E Smith

Mr. Jack E. Smith, age 72, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, May 14 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mr. Smith was born November 14, 1946 in Evansville, Indiana the son of Thomas Hammett Smith and Oreda Evelyn Turpen Smith.  He was a retired employee of Smith Cabinet.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife:  Regina Ann Smith on July 11, 2007.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers:  Ronnie and Randy Smith, a sister:  Peggy Smith, his parents:  Thomas and Oreda Smith, and his father and mother-in-law:  John and Agnes Frost.

He is survived by a brother:  Gary Smith (Sheila) of Loogootee, four sisters:  Raegena Schultz of New Albany, Sandra Guernsey (Gregg) of Henryville, Brenda Shelton (Louie) of Henryville, and Shirley Bailey (Wayne) of Shelbyville, Kentucky, brothers and sisters-in-law:  Larry Frost of Salem, Juanita Hattabaugh of Mitchell and Ronnie and Joyce Frost of Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service.
