Jonna Kay (Maudlin) Potter

August 19, 1962 — June 30, 2021

Campbellsburg

Jonna Kay Potter (Maudlin), 58, Campbellsburg, IN found her way Home into the loving arms of God on June 30, 2021, her spirit undoubtedly singing and dancing all the way. She was born August 19, 1962 in Salem, Indiana the daughter of Stanley and Sally G. Atkins Maudlin.

Her all too soon homegoing is felt deeply by her family. Her husband- Bob Potter (Campbellsburg), children-Josh and Sunnye Wilson, Kama and Joey Piper (All of Salem), Kirstie and Jimmy Strange (Campbellsburg), Kendra and Kelly Stanley (French Lick) and Evan and Brooke Potter (Georgetown) and grandchildren,- Gracie, Gabbie, Jaxon, Jacob, Kaylynne, Kaleb, Robert, Blake, Jake and Kline, remain to honor her legacy.

Her parents Stanley R. and Sally Maudlin (Campbellsburg), her siblings Joe Maudlin (Campbellsburg), Arnold “Buddy” Maudlin (Karen) (Pekin), Joni Hardy (Clint) (Salem), and a whole pack of nieces and nephews already deeply feel the loss of her loving spirit, Her grandmother Lillie B. Maudlin, sister, Joy Shaffer, brother Jeff Maudlin and Uncle Jack Atkins are just a few of the dear ones that preceded her Home and are celebrating a joyful reunion.

A 25-year employee of Gypsum in Shoals Indiana, Jonna was so much more to so many people. A savvy shopper, never meeting a yard sale she could pass up, Jonna was the queen of finding a good deal. She was often found using that gift to meet the needs of others. Her love of family, God and adventure was met only by her passion and dedication to serve the less fortunate.  Jonna was recently officially ordained to a ministry she founded, Potter’s Pouch, that focused on meeting the simple needs of prisoners, widows, orphans, the homeless and people struggling with addiction.

Many friends, co-workers, and fellow church members of Campbellsburg Christian Church will miss her firm faith, love filled heart, room lighting laugh, and snappy comebacks.

Jonna’s life (and hopefully some amazing stories from friends) will be celebrated at Mt. Tabor Christian Church with visitation 4pm-8pm on Friday, July 2, and 9am-11am on Saturday, July 3 with the funeral service to begin at 11am. A brief graveside service with burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Her family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Cornerstone Evangelical Outreach ministry that feeds the homeless community in Southern Indiana and Louisville. Donations can be mailed to 10240 HWY 135 NE New Salisbury, IN 47161.
