Mrs. Kathryn JoAnn Sullivan, age 89, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, August 24 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
Mrs. Sullivan was born March 10, 1932 in Campbellsburg, Indiana the daughter of Cecil and Gayle Russell Jean. She worked for B.F. Goodrich and then, with her husband, traveled to all fifty states in a Model A Ford, accumulating over 225,000 miles. She was a member of Blue River Friends Church and Model A Restorer’s Club in Columbus, Indiana.
Kathryn married Jack Sullivan in October of 1949 and they had four children: Sherry Elrod (Bill) of Salem, Jack Sullivan (Linda) of Seymour, Kathy Packwood (Max) of Campbellsburg, and Jim Sullivan (Lorrie) of Campbellsburg. She is also survived by one brother: Burl Jean of Salem, three sisters: Marilyn Rosenbaum of Martinsville, Indiana, Sue Williams of Okeechobee, Florida, and Linda McNeely of Salem, 12 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson: Johnny Elrod.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11AM at Blue River Friends Church. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-5PM at Weathers Funeral Home and from 10AM-time of service Monday at the church.
The family requests that those attending the visitation and funeral service please wear a mask.
