Obituary

Mrs. Louisa M. Jackson, age 96, of Medora, passed away Thursday, April 27 at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.

Mrs. Jackson was born December 28, 1926, in Washington County, Indiana, the daughter of Clarence and Effie M. Bowers Temple.  She was a member of Salem Nazarene Church.  She worked for Smith Cabinet Company and then worked for Salem Middle School as a cook until she retired in 1992. 

Louisa was preceded in death by her husband:  Herbert Jackson, three brothers:  Albert Temple, Carl Brewer, and Frank Brewer, and five sisters:  Masel Ray, Ruth Sutton, Violet Ozbun, Irene Silence, and Helen Wheeler.

She is survived by her son:  Tim Jackson (Lavella) of Medora, three grandchildren: Eric Jackson of Seymour, Sierra Jackson of Medora, and Katie Embry (Clayton) of Shelbyville, and two great-grandchildren:  Blair and Jeremiah Embry.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Noon at Salem Nazarene Church.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 9AM-time of service at the church.
