Ronald Jeffrey Loven Sr.

Mr. Ronald Jeffrey Loven Sr., age 79, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, November 10 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.

Mr. Loven was born August 26, 1941 in Weaverville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, the son of Augustus Eldred Loven and Mary Magdelene Emory.  He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company and a Vietnam War Army veteran.  He served in the US Army from April 1961 to November 1969 in Vietnam 159th Transportation Battalion.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife:  Lana Kaye Adkins Loven on January 7, 2008.  They were married February 13, 1965.  He was also preceded in death by his parents and special grandparents:  SJ and Essie Emory.

He is survived by his son:  Ronald Jeffrey Loven Jr. of Salem, his daughter:  Angela Dawn Corbin (Terry) of Salem, and three grandchildren:  Abbigail Dawn Harrett (Trey), Emily Grace Loven, and Brandon Scott Corbin.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 9AM-time of service.
