Wanda M (Goen) Bowling

Mrs. Wanda M. Bowling, age 83, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, September 28 at her home.

Mrs. Bowling was born November 6, 1937 in Campbellsburg, Indiana the daughter of Chester and Agnes Thrall Goen.  She was retired from GKN and later worked for Blue River Services.  She was a member of Westview Christian Church and V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband:  Roger William “Andy” Bowling, a brother:  Charles Goen, two sisters:  Betty Autry and Rose Albertson and her parents.

She is survived by three sons:  Scott Bowling (Jerine) of Salem, Chester Bowling of Salem and Jeff Bowling of New Albany, a daughter:  Jean Ann Little (Jimmy) of Salem, a brother:  Larry Goen (Rita) of Filmore, Indiana, four sisters:  Bonnie Martin of Jenson Beach, Florida, Nancy Whitson of Salem, Shirley Perdiew of Huntsville, Alabama, and Beverly Tilford of Martinsville, Indiana, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Wanda’s wishes were to be cremated and buried with her husband at Crown Hill Cemetery.  A memorial graveside service will be held at a later time.
