Jonathan Windell
General Manager
Jonathan Windell is a fifth-generation funeral director proudly serving families in Salem, Indiana. Raised in the funeral profession, Jonathan developed a deep passion for helping others during life’s most difficult moments from an early age. Although he began assisting at his family’s funeral home as early as age eight, he officially became a licensed funeral director in 2011 and has compassionately cared for families ever since.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mortuary Science from Mid-America College of Funeral Service and considers it a true honor to serve the Salem community.
He and his wife, Gretchen, are happily settled in Ramsey, Indiana, where they stay busy raising their blended family of seven children: Lanie, Lucy, Charlee, Rory, Lennon, Otis, and Lyla. Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys attending concerts, hunting, camping, and most of all, spending quality time with his family.

Carrie Chastain
Funeral Director
Carrie proudly brings over 30 years of licensed experience in funeral service. She is the former President of Weathers Funeral Home, a family-owned firm with deep roots in the community. Her parents, Ben and Myra Weathers, purchased the funeral home in 1968, and Carrie began helping out at just 10 years old — even going on removals by age 12. A graduate of Salem High School, Carrie went on to attend the University of Evansville and later graduated from Mid-America College of Funeral Service. She worked closely alongside her father until his illness and passing, after which she continued the family legacy with her husband, Brock.
Carrie is passionate about all aspects of funeral service, but her greatest focus is on natural or green burial. Her interest in alternative end-of-life options was sparked during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time that reshaped much of the funeral profession. She is certified by the Green Burial Council and is actively working with local officials to establish a designated area for natural burials within the city cemetery. Carrie is deeply committed to educating others about funeral service and the evolving choices available to families.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, riding ATVs, and relaxing at home with her beloved French Bulldogs — Lily, Beau, Romeo, and Axel. She also cherishes poolside days and time spent with her adult children, Jeffrey and Addie. She also serves as Vice President of Home Stretch, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting 18-year-old students who have not yet graduated high school. The organization provides a safe, structured environment, helping these young adults complete their education, build essential life skills, and prepare for a successful future—whether through college or a sustainable career path.

Brock Chastain has been a valued member of the Weathers team for 16 years and has been a licensed funeral professional for the past 11 years. Prior to entering funeral service, Brock spent 12 years as a truck driver and owner-operator, bringing with him a strong work ethic and dedication that continue to define his approach today.
Brock has a particular appreciation for the cemetery side of funeral service and takes pride in assisting with graveside preparations whenever possible. He values the hands-on nature of this work and the meaningful role it plays in honoring each life served.
Outside of the funeral home, Brock enjoys working on his family farm and perfecting his barbecue skills on one of his several smokers and grills. He is also actively involved at Westview Christian Church, where he serves in various leadership roles.
Brock has been married for 15 years and is the proud father of two children, Addie and Jeffrey. He and his family also share their home with four French bulldogs.

Courtney Seeley
Office Administrator
Courtney has been a valued member of the Weathers Funeral Home team since January 2023, serving as Office Administrator. She is currently pursuing her education to become a licensed funeral director, continuing her commitment to serving families with professionalism and care. In addition to her role at the funeral home, Courtney serves as the Chief Deputy Coroner for Washington County. A lifelong resident of Salem, Courtney is a graduate of West Washington High School. At the funeral home, Courtney especially values the opportunity to assist with cosmetology. She finds deep meaning in helping families see their loved ones remembered as they once were, and considers it an honor to provide that comfort during such important moments.
She and her husband, Luke, will celebrate 12 years of marriage in May. Together they have two children, Charlotte and Cooper, who keep them busy year-round. In the spring and summer, you’ll likely find Courtney at the ball fields cheering on softball and baseball games, and in the fall, enjoying football season—Go Hoosiers! In her free time, she also enjoys reading.
